Quorn Local History Group talk - The Lest We Forget - Brian Fare

Brian gives an overview of war memorials, taking a look at what is a war memorial and why we commemorate.

Different types of war memorials found in Quorn, in Leicestershire and Rutland and organisations that help to support local authorities with maintaining their war memorials will also be discussed.

Hathern Band Annual Christmas Carol Concert

Quorn Village Hall - Doors open 7.00pm, concert starts at 7.30pm

HATHERN BAND ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERT
The concert will start at 7.30pm and end around 9.00pm with a short break for refreshments.

The popular Hathern Band is always hugely entertaining and the event is a warm and wonderful start to the Christmas season. So, pick up a ticket, get into the festive spirit and join us for a rousing singalong of Christmas favourites.

The annual Christmas concerts are funded by Quorn Parish Council and are free to residents.

Tickets are strictly limited to 120. There will be no charge for entry to the event but for everyone’s comfort and safety, and to ensure that we do not disappoint by having to turn people away, all those attending must hold a ticket.

The free tickets will be available to collect from Friday 15 November from:
Quorn Parish Council Office between 10.00 and 12.00 Mon to Fri
Quorn Old School Tearooms between 10.00 and 16.00 Mon to Sun

Children, of any age, must hold their own ticket. We will not issue more than four tickets per person.

The evening will include a free mince pie! The Old School Tearooms will be selling hot and cold drinks and mulled Christmas drinks. There will also be a collection in aid of Rainbows.

Women's Aid Christmas Carol Concert with Quorn Singers

Quorn Baptist Church - Doors open at 6.45pm Concert starts at 7.00pm
Cost: Free entry

Carol Concert with Quorn Singers in aid of Women's Aid Leicestershire.

Donations accepted on the evening in support of those experiencing domestic violence.

After the concert please join us at this special time of year for a mince pie and non-alcoholic mulled wine. (Registered Charity.)

From Quorn to the BBC with Quorn’s Charlotte Smith.

After joining the BBC's Local Radio Reporters Scheme, Charlotte reported on ‘East Midlands Today’ and worked as a reporter for Radio 4's ‘You and Yours’. Her knowledgeable insight into agriculture, made her an ideal choice for Radio 4's Farming Today and BBC1's Countryfile.
